Support AB 420 (Quirk-Silva and Valladares) – Public health: amusement parks and COVID-19

Great news! Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva is authoring legislation to accelerate the safe re-opening of the Disneyland Resort and other California theme parks. Under current guidelines, large theme parks remain closed until their counties achieve the Yellow Tier 4 – an overly-restrictive rule that will keep the Disneyland Resort shutdown until late this year. AB 420 changes this unrealistic and unnecessary requirement and allows large theme parks like Disneyland to re-open their counties reach the Orange Tier 3. In plain English, that would allow the Disneyland Resort could re-open months earlier than is currently the case – restoring tens of thousands of jobs and tens of million in tax revenue.
