Tell Your U.S. Senators to Protect Election Integrity and the Free Speech Rights

Following the chaos of the last election season, radical activists made sure that the FIRST BILL INTRODUCED IN THE HOUSE would make all of that permanent. HR 1, deceptively called the “For the People Act” should be called “For the Powerful People in Washington D.C. Act” because it would change who controls elections and limit the long-standing rights of Americans involved with all kinds of charitable, non-profit organizations.

They want to attack WHAT non-profits can say, WHEN they can say it, and find out WHO supported them. AND, they want to make election laws fill-in-the-blank, with last minute changes allowed and no follow up to ensure that it’s Americans who are voting – once.

This is an anti-American power grab that tries to take power from the states to give it to the Federal Government when it comes to elections. And this is an attack on the free speech and long-term policy practices of non-profit groups like Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action who educate people on the human rights issue of our day – abortion.

Just as threatening, HR 1 also wants to force non-profits to turn over private donor information to be part of a national, searchable data base. We all know that that means.

In the context of Woke, Cancel Culture, ordinary people could be targeted and harassed by people who don’t like their point of view, and how much do you want to bet that conservative and pro-life groups get harassed with this new power while groups like Planned Parenthood have no problems at all?

Millions of Americans value the opportunity and our right to support causes we believe in without fear of harassment and intimidation.

We must work together to protect the integrity of our elections as well as states’ Constitutional rights and the free speech rights of people expressed in their support of non-profits of their choosing.

HR 1 has already passed the House of Representatives and is now in the Senate.
