Tell Mike DeWine: Sign "Duty To Retreat" Repeal NOW (SB175)!
Senate Bill 175 expands Ohio's Castle Doctrine law by repealing Ohio's terrible "duty to retreat" law everywhere a citizen has a lawful right to be - which is long overdue for Ohio gun owners!
SB175 has passed the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate and now waits on Governor Mike DeWine to sign it into law.
And while SB175 doesn't go nearly far enough, it is the starting point that Ohio Gun Owners' members and supporters deserve as we prepare for the 134th General Assembly and a complete overhaul of Ohio's self-defense laws.
The fact is, it is rapists, kidnappers or killers that should have a "duty to retreat," not lawful citizens trying to defend themselves, their loved ones or innocents around them.
Email or call Governor DeWine and tell him to sign SB175 into law NOW, or face the consequences in the 2022 Republican Primary!
