House Increases Support for Arts and Culture in Massachusetts
On April 14, the House Ways and Means released their FY22 Budget which includes the recommendation for $20 million for the Mass Cultural Council’s annual budget. This means for the first time in recent memory the House budget includes an increase for arts and culture. In an unprecedented year, this kind of leadership and support must be acknowledged and thanked!
Please take a moment to write a note of thanks to House Speaker Mariano, House Ways and Means Chair Michlewitz, Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development Chair Fiola and YOUR State Representative.
Let them know that public support for arts and culture means more people will have access to the benefits of creative expression AND Massachusetts can build back better when the arts and cultural economy is supported.
