Tell Congress to Leave the Minimum Age to Purchase Long Guns Alone!

Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) has decided that there is no such thing as too much gun control. After pushing out several other anti-gun pieces of legislation, Rep. Deutch has introduced H.R. 4992 for consideration.  H.R. 4992 would mandate that the minimum age to purchase a rifle or shotgun be raised.

Those who are 18 and older are legal adults in the eyes of our government. They can serve and die for our country in the military. They can help determine who runs the government by exercising their right to vote. Yet somehow Rep. Deutch thinks that those who are 18, 19, or 20 years old can't be trusted with a tool to protect their property and families when necessary.

Please use FPC's outreach tool, located on this page, to write your specific members of Congress and tell them to OPPOSE H.R. 4992.  The fundamental rights of U.S. citizens trump the fear of those who aim to restrict them.
