Request Money for Ohio Abused Children

(This will literally take just a minute of your time. Promise.)

Thank you for your interest in helping spread the word that Ohio's abused children need help! #SaveOhioChildren

Ohio Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) are unique places where children who are physically abused, sexually abused, and survivors of human trafficking can receive medical help and begin their healing. CACs support investigations of abuse and trafficking, provide mental health support to children, advocacy to families, and education to their communities.

Throughout 2020, children have had less contact with trusted adults such as educators, faith leaders, coaches and others who can alert law enforcement to dangerous situations, leaving children more vulnerable to abuse.

Due to pandemic restrictions, CACs have been unable to connect with kids and families that need them, and economic impacts of shutdowns have reduced funding from corporations, foundations, and donations.

We are asking that you email your state legislator to have them request the the Governor's Office to support our Ohio CACs through ARPA pandemic dollars. By allocating $7.1 million to support abused children, they can help #SaveOhioChildren!

We are asking Ohio legislators and the Governor follow the state of Illinois' example of supporting CACs through ARPA dollars. Please ask for their support the ONCAC's request of allocating $7.1 million to support our abused children in Ohio.

If you have any questions regarding this campaign, contact Brad at brad@oncac.org or 614-578-8029.  #SaveOhioChildren

Thank you again, for your willingness to spread the word!

Sincerely,
