Stop Michigan Lawmakers From Implementing a "High Capacity" Magazine Ban!

Following a senseless tragedy in Michigan, anti-liberty state legislators wasted no time in taking the opportunity to advance their gun control agenda. This week legislators introduced bills aimed at what they deem "high capacity" magazine.  It seems state legislators are taking to heart the advice once offered by Rahm Emanuel to "never let a serious crisis go to waste."

Senate Bill 785/House Bill 5628 aims to prohibit the sale, production, or possession of high-capacity magazines in Michigan. And what do these legislators believe qualifies as a "high capacity" magazine? Any "magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition" would fall under this category.

Senate Bill 786/House Bill 5627 would amend the “code of criminal procedure” in Michigan to include the possession or sale of high-round magazines to its list of felonies.  This bill only would take effect if Senate Bill 785/House Bill 5628 is passed.

If you would not like to be determined to be a felon because you own a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds of ammunition, reach out to your specific state legislators TODAY. To do this, simply use FPC's convenient constituent outreach tool located on this page to send an email directly to your legislators' inboxes. FPC has drafted a sample email that you are encouraged to review, edit and personalize prior to sending it off.  Thanks in advance for taking action and for your continued support of FPC!
