Constitutional Carry is On the Move in the Ohio State Senate!

It's been a busy and productive week for constitutional carry legislation in Ohio! After passing Senate Bill 215 through the Ohio Senate Veterans and Public Safety Committee on Tuesday, the bill went for a floor vote on Wednesday (12/15/21). The Ohio State Senate wasted no time and passed the constitutional carry bill by a margin of 23-8 on Wednesday afternoon. This is great traction for a bill that simply allows any qualifying adult to conceal carry without being required to obtain a concealed handgun license within the state. As a reminder, the Ohio House of Representatives has already voted to pass House Bill 227, its version of constitutional carry legislation. Knowing this, we are asking you to email your state legislators and encourage them to pass a final version of the long-sought-after legislation.

Please utilize FPC's convenient and user-friendly constituent outreach tool, located on this page, to reach out to your legislators TODAY. We have no time to lose as this is a fast-moving priority.  FPC has drafted an email that you are encouraged to review, edit and personalize prior to sending it off to your elected officials. Let's mobilize, and get this pro-liberty legislation across the finish line. It's time for the Buckeye State to pass this long past-due legislation!
