Permitless Carry is Headed to Gov. DeWine's Desk!

Your Firearms Policy Coalition has been actively following the movement of permitless carry legislation, Senate Bill 215, in Ohio.  In fact, FPC directly lobbied for Senate Bill 215's passage in the Ohio House Government Oversight Committee on 02/17/22.  SB 215 has since been passed by the full House on 03/02/22 by a vote of 57-35.  This bill allows any qualifying adult to conceal carry without being required to obtain an Ohio handgun license. As a reminder, the Ohio State Senate also passed this permitless carry bill by a margin of 23-8 in December. Since the House added amendments to the bill, Senate concurrence was necessary before the bill went to the governor's desk. The Senate concurred by a vote of 24-8, thus making Gov. DeWine's signature the only thing left to acquire before the bill becomes law of the land in the Buckeye State.

Please utilize FPC's convenient and user-friendly constituent outreach tool, located on this page, to encourage Gov. DeWine to sign this bill into law.  FPC has drafted an email that you are encouraged to review, edit and personalize prior to sending it off to Gov. Dewine's inbox. Let's mobilize, and get this pro-liberty legislation across the finish line.
