Tell NM Senator Ben Ray Lujan to Retract his Misinformation Bill from the U.S. Congress!

NM Senator Ben Ray Lujan has co-sponsored a Bill in the US Congress that will seriously jeopardize your right to free speech.  Bill S.3737, Promoting Public Health Information Act, creates an Advisory Committee “to counter the threat that misinformation and disinformation pose to public health as evidenced by the widespread false narratives throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”

This Bill includes an annual budget of $45,000,000 for 4 years, which will be used to develop “media and public engagement initiatives” to “ensure that official scientific and public health guidance is accessible and communicated effectively to the public with specific focus on populations that are underserved or with low health literacy.”

In other words, this Bill seeks to stamp out alternate viewpoints so that only the “official” narrative is allowed and promoted, especially in populations that the government has deemed incapable of making informed health decisions.

If you disagree with your tax dollars being used to promote “official” health information and to disrupt the free flow of communication that our country was founded on, please take a moment to send an email to Senator Lujan with the form to the right. This will only take a minute, and it is important for letting Senator Lujan know the desires of the people he is representing.

If you have extra time, please also CALL Senator Lujan at his Washington DC Office: 202-224-6621
