Bill Allowing Private Citizens to Sue One Another for Exercising Natural Rights Gaining Steam in CA

California has yet another bill that looks to infringe on the natural rights of its citizens.  According to a press release issued by Gov. Newsom's office, Senate Bill 1327 "would allow private citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, transports, imports into the state or sells assault weapons, .50 BMG rifles, ghost guns, or ghost gun kits."  Sponsored by Senator Robert Hertzberg (D-Van Nuys), this bill essentially aims to let fellow citizens narc on one another for the purpose of further eroding the fundamental rights of Californians. It would also require that a prevailing party be awarded attorneys fees in any firearms law challenge, including the state’s attorney.  This would inevitably have a chilling effect on the People's right to challenge unconstitutional laws.

It is imperative that you reach out to your specific state lawmakers in opposition to this Senate Bill 1327.  To do this, use FPC's constituent outreach tool located on this page to contact your legislators TODAY!
