Help to protect recreational deer hunting access in Victoria
The Invasive Species Council has written to Victorian MPs urging them to remove the game status of deer.
Such a move would cause a loss of hunting opportunities (particularly in National Parks) and be a step toward banning recreational deer hunting altogether.
Removing game status for deer would also undermine the game status of other wildlife (including ducks). Removing game status for deer would not do anything to aid deer management. This is an ideological attack on public land access for recreational hunting, dressed up as environmentalism.
The leading organisations representing the interests of deer hunting in Victoria are tackling this challenge head-on with the Government, and the Opposition - your support of this email campaign will bolster and amplify those efforts.
