Stop the Full Medicare Cuts - Please Cosponsor S. 5194

Urge Your Senators to Cancel Cuts That Threaten Seniors' Access to Surgical Care

Otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeons are facing significant cuts to Medicare reimbursement rates. These rate reductions are scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2023.

Members of Congress can stop these cuts, but they need to hear from you today. Please contact Congress and ask your U.S. Senators to cosponsor S. 5194, the Protecting Medicare Patients and Providers Act, which stops the scheduled payment cuts through 2023.

This bill was recently introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator John Kennedy (R-LA). The Academy, along with dozens of national and state physician organizations, endorsed this legislation.

A broad group of bipartisan cosponsors for this legislation will demonstrate to Congressional leadership the urgent need to reverse these payment cuts before the end of 2022. Please contact Congress today and urge your Senators to cosponsor S. 5194!
