The Olympia School District in Washington State has appointed a convicted criminal and radical anti-police abolitionist to the school board.
According to a Washington State Patrol criminal background check, Talauna Reed has been charged with domestic violence, felony assault, felony theft, violating a protection order, dealing illegal drugs, and embezzlement.
She also has multiple civil financial judgments against her, including $174 in unpaid state taxes in 2012.
Additionally, Reed has five judgments for unpaid rent. The largest totaling $9,140 in 2019, another in 2010 for $1,496 with the Pierce County Housing Authority, a third in 2008 for $2,670, a fourth in 2004 for $1,800, and $536 from 1997.
