Prioritize the Reauthorization of CAPTA

Contact your members of Congress to tell them to reauthorize the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act.

The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) is a critically important federal program that supports interventions to help children when they have been seriously harmed, as well as family support services which prevent child abuse and neglect from occurring in the first place.

It is essential that Congress reauthorize CAPTA before the end of the year, and with time running short, we need your help letting your senators and representatives know to take action.

On Thursday, December 15, advocates across the country will hold a CAPTA day of action.

Please take a moment to contact your senators and representatives to urge them to reauthorize this important program by the end of the year.
