Stop the Ban on Shooting Ranges and Self-defense!

Tell the committee to protect our right to self-defense by voting NO on HB 238.

House Bill 238 will criminalize the discharge of a firearm in a “densely populated area” without exception for self-defense, shooting at an indoor shooting range, outdoor shooting range, or other legal use.

The bill does not define what a “densely populated area” is, the ambiguity means both indoor and outdoor ranges could be targeted as well. The penalty is a fourth-degree felony which provides for 18 months in jail and $5,000 in fines

We can stop this bill before it becomes law, but we need every New Mexican who values the Second Amendment and their right to self-defense to speak out. Fill out the form provided below to tell lawmakers in to stop this bill.
