Protect Your Vote and Tell Lawmakers Not to Use Our Kids as Pawns!

Tell the Speaker of the House, the House Committee on Government, Elections and Indian Affairs, and your Representative you Oppose HB 217: 16 and 17-Year-Olds as Qualified Electors

This short bill is an attempt by progressive lawmakers to forever change voting in this State.

This Bill is in direct violation of the 26th Amendment of the US Constitution “The right of citizens of the United States, who are 18 years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of age.”

The progressive lawmakers delight in pointing out that people under 21 do not have the frontal lobe maturity to make decisions, can be easily manipulated, and have no anger control when it comes to gun rights but in the same breath tell us they are mature enough to make decisions that affect every person in the state.

Progressive legislators and the far-left Secretary of State want to let 16- and 17-year-olds vote because they know a gift card or acceptance into a group can easily sway their votes. Which is it? Double standards and talking out of both sides of their mouth.

Take a stand and contact the legislators. Let them know how you feel about their attempt to increase manipulation in our election system. Tell them to VOTE NO on HB 217.
