Several groups have updated our referendums, and we need to send out the request to sign them to our Secretary of State once again!
During the session, we saw many bills that harm New Mexicans pass the legislature.
Soon to be the law of NM, these bills create unrestricted access to abortion and transgender treatment for everyone - including young school children (and without parental consent or awareness)!
Even the integrity of our elections has been severely damaged because of these bills. But the fight isn't over...
The New Mexico Constitution gives the people the right to say NO! It says, "The people reserve the power to disapprove, suspend and annul any law enacted by the legislature."
That means we can get these new laws put on the ballot in the next general election to give ALL New Mexicans a vote!
Several petitions for referendum have already been sent to the Secretary of State, and once approved, we will have 90 days from the close of the legislative session to collect roughly 200,000 signatures. This will stop the laws from being enacted! They will be placed on the November 2024 ballot for the people to decide.
If the laws are voted down by the people of New Mexico, they will be repealed. This is where we need you!!
