Ask the members of the LA House of Representatives to be present, Monday, May 22, and vote YES for HB 152 - Parental Rights. The House voted on the bill on May 16, but did not obtain the 70 votes super majority needed. However, 14 representatives were "absent" for the vote. The bill was reconsidered under rules and is scheduled to be voted on again, Monday, May 22.
This bill is at the heart of parents' rights to raise and care for their children. Upon passage of the bill by the LA State Legislature, the proposed amendment will be submitted to LA voters.
