Urge Congress to Protect Patients & Oppose the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act
Earlier this year, Congress introduced the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act (S. 2377 / H.R. 6445). This legislation would inappropriately expand the scope of practice of audiologists, reclassify them as providers under Medicare, and would not increase patient access.
This legislation mirrors a nearly identical bill which was introduced in the previous Congress. With your help, and the support of over 100 local, state, and national medical organizations, we defeated this bill in the 117th Congress. It will take a similar effort in this year. It is critically important that your Members of Congress hear from you - practicing otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeons and their constituents- directly. Please contact your Senators and Representative today and ask them to oppose the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act (S. 2377 / H.R. 6445).
Your voice will help protect patient safety for Medicare beneficiaries and ensure that you can continue to provide the best quality healthcare for your patients. Thank you for your advocacy on behalf of your practice and patients!
