Ask Legislators to vote 'NO' on HB 6, the Paid Family Medical Leave Act.

HB 6 is the House version of the Paid Family Medical Leave Act  (PFMLA) is estimated to cost well over 400 million dollars if it becomes law. This act forces employees and employers to pay out of pocket into a fund managed by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.

That's the same agency that overpaid an estimated 250 million dollars in unemployment benefits during 2020-21.

The PFMLA could harm our already fragile businesses and the workers they employ.

New Mexicans are already dealing with the financial strain of inflation, and an additional .5% of their wages would go into this state-managed fund!

PFMLA is backed by progressive legislators and special interest groups. Legislators and the Governor need to hear from hardworking New Mexicans who oppose more government mandates like PFMLA. Tell them to STOP HB 6!

Please complete the form provided to quickly email key legislators who will be voting on PFMLA.
