Stop the Governor and Protect Our Constitution!
Senate Joint Resolution 12. The Governor and her anti-gun allies in Santa Fe have a new target in sight, our State Constitution. Article II Section 6 of the New Mexico State Constitution protects our right to own a firearm.
However anti-gun politicians are proposing changing that section in Senate Joint Resolution 12. They want to strike the end part of that section that prohibits counties and municipalities from creating their own gun laws.
If they make this change to the State Constitution, places like Santa Fe could pass any gun control law they want to. It would also be nearly impossible to keep track of what the gun laws are in each city and county you pass through in New Mexico.
We can save the State Constitution, but we need every gun owner to speak out against the change. Use the form provided to tell your Legislators and Governor to VOTE NO on SJR 12!
