Take Action: Missouri, Advocate Investment in Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Research

Missourians, please urge Senator Blunt to prioritize funding for child sexual abuse prevention research.

Earlier this year, the US House passed legislation that would advance investment in the CDC for child sexual abuse prevention research through a historic first-time federal $2 million line-item appropriation. This level of investment will enable us to better understand how to prevent child sexual abuse before it starts. However, the Senate draft spending bill does not provide funds for child sexual abuse research. Senator Blunt, chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education, is in a key position to influence this investment and move it to completion.
