Support a New Tax Credit for Biomass Heaters!

Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association

New legislation, the GREEN Act, would create a new investment tax credit for purchasing a new biomass heater such as a wood or pellet stove. The new tax credit would cover up to 30 percent of purchase and installation costs of a biomass heater that is at least 75 percent efficient per the higher heating value (HHV) of the fuel. That’s a lot more money than the now-expired stove tax credit, and this credit would cover any qualifying biomass heater (stove, insert, furnace, hydronic heater).

Now, the challenge: Congress has to pass this bill into law! Please take a minute to send a message to your members of Congress right now urging them to pass this bill.
