Ask the House Education Committee to Support Breastfeeding Students

While federal law requires employers to provide breaks for employees to express milk for her nursing child, including a place other than a bathroom, to do so, and Pennsylvania law allows mothers to breastfeed in public without penalty, students at all academic levels are not equally protected.

The Coalition for Lactation-Friendly Schools has been hard at work informing educators and legislators about supporting breastfeeding students.

As a result of these efforts, House Bill 2048 has been introduced and referred to the House Education Committee. Please take a moment to contact members of the House Education Committee and ask that they consider this important piece of legislation.
