Urge the SCAG Regional Council for a 90-day pause to the 'Connect SoCal' plan

In less than two weeks, the SCAG Regional Council will seek to adopt the final draft of the 'Connect SoCal' plan. The plan is a long-range vision for the future of Southern California that identifies the mobility and housing challenges the region will face in the next 25 years and solutions to address them.

On March 27th, SCAG released its final draft of the 'Connect SoCal' plan. However, due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic hitting us all at the same time the final draft was released. The public's focus has been on survival mode to protect our families, jobs, and businesses with not much time devoted to reviewing the changes between the 'draft' and 'final' plan to provide constructive input.

We are urging you to write your letters to the SCAG Regional Council requesting a delay of 90 days to assess the changes between the 'draft' and 'final' plans and correct any errors to establish a sensible path forward ensuring that we are protecting and leveraging every available transportation and housing dollar to build the critical infrastructure and provide the jobs needed to recover from this pandemic.
