NYC Take Action: Personal Guarantees and Capping Delivery Fees

The NYC Council is holding a hearing on an important package of small business relief legislation that the NYC Hospitality Alliance has been advocating for. There are also a few bills we are concerned with.

We NEED you to immediately use our fast and easy system to send a pre-written email (edit for greater impact) to your City Council Members urging them to support bills and oppose others.

VERY IMPORTANT: send a separate email from EACH restaurant and nightlife establishment you operate in NYC.

Legislative Highlights:

  • Int. 1932 This bill would prohibit the enforcement of personal liability provisions in commercial leases or rental agreements involving a COVID-19 impacted tenant where the default or other trigger event happened during the COVID-19 state of emergency.
  • Int. 1908-A This bill would prohibit certain third-party food delivery services, entities that provide restaurants with online order and delivery services, from charging restaurants more than a 10% fee per order for the use of their service.
