COVID-19, and the uncertainty it brings, has significantly impacted everyone across the Commonwealth and the nation. While we know this is a difficult and frightening time for everyone across the state, we at MMP wanted to take the time to remind our legislators how the important and necessary precautions taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 can affect our youth.
While the budget process and budgetary outlook of the state have drastically changed, we want to continue emphasizing the importance of stable, positive relationships for young people. Now more than ever, young kids miss the support and consistency of being in schools, playing team sports, and seeing their mentors in person. Many of these youth rely on the support of their local mentoring organizations to get through these trying times.
With level funding of $1,000,000, we can continue to provide supportive, developmental relationships to existing youth-adult mentor matches, but we cannot do it without you!
