While using OneClickPolitics or its services you may send messages to elected or appointed officials and leadership of certain organizations. OneClickPolitics routes your messages to the individuals and groups that you select, and delivers the messages using (but not restricted to) the following methods: email, fax, and web form submission. In doing so, we may collect certain information about you.
We may automatically collect certain aggregated data regarding use of OneClickPolitics, such as the number of users and frequency and manner of usage of OneClickPolitics. We may also collect aggregated information regarding the use of our services such as the extent to which certain features are used, basic demographic information of users, or locational data such as zip code. Aggregated information is anonymous, statistical information that reflects the scope of our user base, sales, customer patterns and related site information. In addition, certain non-personally identifiable information may be collected by OCP and our third-party advertising providers during your use of OneClickPolitics and in serving advertisements to the OCP website, including, for example, the number of times you have viewed an advertisement (but not your name, address, or other personal information).
When you create an OCP membership or send a message or sign a petition via OCP or one of its services, we require some or all of the following information:
(i) Your Name
(ii) Your Physical Address, Including Your US zip code
(iii) Your Email Address
OCP may enable its members to choose to publish messages on their profiles. When we do so, we will not disclose your physical address or your phone number but we may disclose a portion of your name and Congressional District, e.g., “John S. in Virginia’s 1st Congressional District”.
Any aggregated information that we collect may be used to better understand how OneClickPolitics is used, to improve the online experience of our users, and to identify demographic trends. This information is not used in a way that will personally identify you. Aggregated information, as well as other non-personal information may also be used by OCP, its advertising providers, its partners, and organizations using OCP’s tools in order to facilitate and monitor the serving of advertisements and better understand demographic trends.
We may also use information about you and your activities on the OCP website to customize your experience and to customize the content or features of OneClickPolitics and for the purpose of tailoring the online advertising you may encounter.
To edit the personal information that you entered when you created your account or to make changes to your profile information, you must log-in to www.oneclickpolitics.com and click "Edit Account" in the tool bar to the left of the page to manage your account and adjust your settings.
OCP is committed to taking appropriate measures to protect your privacy against unintended disclosures. OCP uses a variety of secure techniques designed to protect your information. While we have implemented safeguards, you should be aware that Internet security technology rapidly changes. As such, we cannot guarantee that the safeguards we employ today can protect your personal information from the threats of tomorrow, or that our security measures are failsafe and not subject to circumvention or unauthorized intrusion. You should also be aware that, despite our best efforts, factors beyond OCP’s control may result in disclosure of data.
If you are under age 13, please do not attempt to register for OneClickPolitics or provide any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. To best protect your child's privacy, we suggest that you carefully supervise your child's access to the Internet and our website. OCP may provide users the opportunity to opt-out of providing personal information to third parties sponsoring messages sent by the user when sending via a non-third party branded page on the OCP site. Please see note above regarding priority being given to the privacy policies of third parties hosting OCP tools on third party branded pages, platforms, mobile apps, or emails.
We reserve the right to send you administrative messages, service announcements, verification emails, and other similar communications without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.
Please note: The role of American government officials is to represent and serve their fellow Americans. In order to preserve the value of OneClickPolitics to U.S. government officials, non-Americans are strongly urged not to send messages using OCP, unless or until OCP has created tools to reach their own government officials.
