There are thousands of Californians that must rely on dialysis treatments three times a week or a transplant in order to survive. I am writing to ask that you oppose AB 290 (Woods). This bill would cut the reimbursement rates private insurance companies pay to cover dialysis care, which may cause facilities to close and leave patients having to find a new treatment facility.
For many dialysis patients, access to care is a matter of life or death, and this bill would threaten that access. Thank you in advance for your continued support of kidney patients. I look forward to hearing your response on this matter.
