In 2016, the Legislature unanimously passed S. 916 (Act 268) to raise the age of juvenile court jurisdiction. Budget Proviso 67.14, which was approved by the Legislature on May 21, keeps a promise to implement the law on schedule by having DJJ collaborate with local officials to create more effective community-based programs for youth. Please tell Governor McMaster to sign Proviso 67.14.
