If you’re like us, you’ve been praying a lot lately. We at World Vision have been been praying for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic, for peace of mind during our physical distancing efforts, and for the health of our families, friends, and YOU, World Vision’s dedicated advocates!
In 1 Timothy, Paul urges us to pray for someone else, too: “For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Will you join us in emailing our members of Congress with words of prayer during this difficult time?
Too often, it’s easy to forget about the real people behind all the politics. But if we take a moment to remember their humanity, it allows us to see them as a child of God who needs prayer just like everyone else.
Our government officials are faced with difficult decisions every day – and those decisions are even tougher during a global pandemic. Let’s band together and let Congress know we are praying for them, for their health, and for their wisdom during this uncertain time. (We can also thank them for using the recently passed CARES Act to help protect the most vulnerable among us, both here and abroad!) Your email could be the encouragement they need right now.
