Tennessee Senate Joins House To Pass Pro-Life Abortion Pill Reversal Act

Early this morning, June 19th, the Tennessee Senate passed legislation that includes Tennessee Right to Life's priority Abortion Pill Reversal Act, Senate Bill 2465/House Bill 2568.  Sponsored by Senator Dolores Gresham (R-Somerville), Representative Bill Dunn (R-Knoxville) and Representative Jeremy Faison (R-Cosby), the law will require abortion facilities to display signage informing women that a chemical (RU486) abortion may be reversed following the first dose of a two-pill protocol. It also requires a physician to directly provide the same information during informed consent, 48 hours prior to the abortion procedure.

The Pro-Life bill was passed by the Senate 23 - 5. Last week the state House led the way in passing the Tennessee Right to Life legislation 71-22-1.

Please thank the sponsors for their work and dedication towards protecting women and unborn children.

From the moment a woman takes the abortion pill, she has about 72 hours to change her mind and save her baby, because of the proven Abortion Pill Reversal protocol.

Women have undergone the progesterone reversal process, carried their babies to term and delivered healthy babies. To date more than 900 babies and women have been saved by the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol.

Currently, there are over 800 medical professionals, including several in Tennessee, trained to administer the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol. Visit Abortion Pill Rescue for more information about the process.
