Urge Contra Costa Board of Supervisors to Invest in Black communities and divest from Trump supporter - Contra Costa Sheriff Livingston's Department! The Sheriff's department has already increased by a whopping $66M in just 10 years.
And now, in the midst of national calls to divest from the police and invest in black communities - into healthcare, schools, community services - Sheriff Livingston, is fighting for $2.8 Million MORE.
Meanwhile, the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors is discussing closing the County Hospital in Martinez due to a budget deficit in the middle of a global pandemic.
This is outrageous. We can no longer allow our elected leaders to use our taxpayer dollars to fund a broken policing system while taking money from the community services we need!
