Email Congressional Leadership Today - Advocate for Provider Status!

On July 27th Senate Republicans released their initial proposal for the negotiations over the next COVID-19 relief bill.

Unfortunately, the testing/immunization provider status provision we pushed for is not in this bill. However, this is not our last chance. The House of Representatives HEROES Act and the Senate's HEALS Act are far apart from each other so they will continue crafting and refining the legislation in the coming days to reach an agreement.

We MUST seize this opportunity to continue to push for pharmacists recognition as healthcare providers for Medicare patients. Please contact Congressional Leadership, including Leaders McConnell, Schumer, and Speaker Pelosi. Tell them to include language to authorize pharmacists to provide COVID-19 testing services to patients under Medicare Part B on an emergency basis during the pandemic in the COVID-response bill that is being negotiated on Capitol Hill.

We need you to email these Members of Congressional Leadership right now. Please insert your information where prompted in ALL CAPS within the text. APhA also requests you encourage your friends and colleagues to take action as well. Thank you.
