Oppose Anti-Small Business Legislation
Oregon is considering HB 2071 which would provide the ability for local governments to regulate tobacco products. This legislation would allow cities and muncipalities to enact regulations and ordiances that could further restrict the legal sale of tobacco products to legal age adults that infrequently enjoy premium cigars. The bill could also result in new restrictions to retail small businesses that sell premium cigars and pipe tobacco. The legislation would also require state level tobacco sales licensure.
The Premium Cigar Association encourages consumers, retailers, and manufacturers in Oregon to take a few moments to oppose HB 2071 and sent a letter to the House Committee on Health and Joint Committee on Ways & Means.
