Now is the time for governments to agree on a way forward for cruising – one that upholds safety while supporting an economic revival around Australia. CLIA is working closely with governments at many levels, but our efforts need your support.

Cruise lines globally have committed to extensive new health protocols in response to COVID-19, including 100% testing of all passengers and crew. With these measures in place, we see an opportunity for a carefully managed and phased resumption of cruising in Australia.

More than $5 billion has already been wiped from the Australian economy since cruising was suspended and over 18,000 jobs are at risk. Governments need to take action to revive our industry and restore the benefits of cruise tourism to communities around the country.
