Bill Targeting the PLCAA Awaits House Floor Vote

As you are well aware, gun-phobic politicians have been very active in D.C.  these last few months.  Their latest target is the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).  The 109th Congress passed the PLCAA to prevent a new strategy by gun control fanatics that aimed to misuse the court system to drown firearms manufacturers in lawsuits and legal proceedings, eventually forcing them out of business. Unfortunately, H.R. 2814, which has sat idle for months, has been revived and aims to dismantle those protections.  The House Judiciary Committee advanced H.R. 2814 on 07/20/2022 in a 24-18 vote. The bill now awaits a floor vote.

FPC has warned about H.R. 2814 and the Senate's version of the bill (Senate Bill 1338) since their introduction.    If you have not done so already, encourage your legislators to defend and support PLCAA protections by OPPOSING this bill!
