Tell Your Members of Congress to Cosponsor S. 4008 and H.R. 7477

Great news! As of last week, we now have two bills introduced that will help the motorcoach industry still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senator Cardin (D-MD) and Senator Wicker (R-MS) introduced S. 4008, the Small Business COVID Relief Act of 2022. This legislation provides COVID relief to restaurants and other small businesses – including $2 billion in grant funding for the Coronavirus Economic Relief for Transportation Services (CERTS) program – supporting motorcoaches, school buses, and passenger vessels.

Rep. Panetta (D-CA), Rep. LaHood (R-IL), Rep. Sires (D-NJ), and Rep. Rose (R-TN) introduced H.R. 7477, the CERTS Tax Exemption Act. This bill would provide relief to the motorcoach, school bus, and passenger vessel industries devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic by making previously awarded CERTS grants tax-exempt. As a matter of equity and in a great time of need, these funds were intended for emergency relief and should be treated the same as other coronavirus relief funds.

Please take a moment and fill out the form to the right to quickly and easily send a note to your Senators and Representatives to urge them to cosponsor these bills.
