Whereas: Constitutional Carry would restore the right of every Georgian to carry a firearm to protect themselves without begging government permission or adding their name to a government database; and
Whereas: Five Republican Governors have signed Constitutional Carry into law this year alone, making it the law in twenty-one states, and it’s currently on the move in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana; and
Whereas: In 2018, you campaigned on the issue on Constitutional Carry, which is why gun owners elected you over Casey Cagle in the primary and then Stacey Abrams in the general election; and
Whereas: As Governor, you have the ability to set agendas in the legislature and use your position to ensure that they put bills like Constitutional Carry on your desk.
Therefore: With 27 ‘Red States’ having this law on the books, I want you to keep your campaign promise and fight for Constitutional Carry law in 2022.
