Request for Additional CERTS Act Funding
As Congress considers legislation under the reconciliation process to enact President Biden’s American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan, we are respectfully requesting additional funding for the Coronavirus Economic Relief for Transportation Services (CERTS) program.
The private bus and motorcoach, school bus, and U.S. flag passenger vessel industries collectively seek an additional $8 billion in economic relief to match the amount of funding in the original CERTS Act legislation (H.R. 7642/S. 4150), which was cosponsored by two-thirds of Congress in 2020.
