Save Solar in Linn County

Tell the Linn County Board of Supervisors to vote “no” on their Solar Moratorium

Last month the Linn County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the Coggon Solar Farm.

Now they want to pass a Solar Moratorium for Linn County that would stop solar progress in its tracks.

This flip-flop makes no sense.  Stopping solar progress is bad for Linn County.  Stopping solar energy robs us of a chance for cleaner energy, a way to meet our climate goals, and the millions in investment and revenue that solar farms would bring to our county.

The Supervisors conducted a thoughtful and responsible process, and heard all sides, in approving the Coggon Solar Farm.  They shouldn’t turn around and sabotage progress now, and pull the rug out from under climate progress in Linn County.

Knee-jerk reactions like this from the Board of Supervisors sends a message that Linn County is not a serious place to do business.  It will drive away solar companies, and other businesses.

Tell your Supervisors - Vote NO on Solar Moratorium!
