SEL is a fundamental tool for our schools and communities to employ when managing behavioral challenges, mental wellness, and violence prevention. Everyone should have access to SEL. And yet, there is opposition across the country that deprioritizes or disparages SEL, or removes it from classrooms entirely, just when students are most in need of social-emotional skills and supports.
