It's Time to Support Downtown Lansing

When tens of thousands of state government workers began operating remotely two years ago, the downtown Lansing restaurants, shops and businesses that regularly serve them lost their primary sources of revenue.  Many of them have been forced to close their doors.

Now, two years later, the situation is little improved. State workers are beginning to come back but many won't be in the office more than 2-3 days per week. Meanwhile, our downtown businesses continue to wait for aid and suffer.

Downtown Lansing urgently needs state funding as we reinvent, reimagine, and rebuild for a richer 24/7 downtown environment—one that can flex and adapt to the needs of our businesses and residents.

If there’s ever been a good use for federal COVID relief dollars, this is it. Our downtown businesses need help today!
