Please Support Permanent Investments in Medicaid HCBS
Congress made important investments in Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) to reduce waiting lists in HCBS, strengthen the personal care workforce, and improve quality of care. These investments must be made permanent to ensure an adequate workforce exists to enable individuals who prefer to remain in their home or community to do so.
Senate Majority Leader Schumer (D-NY) continues to have discussions with Senators regarding a reconciliation package that could come together before the August recess. The House-passed reconciliation bill included $150 billion in funding for Medicaid HCBS. The Home Care & Hospice Association of NJ along with its provider members and industry partners urge the Senate to include Medicaid HCBS investments in its legislation.
