Equal Funding for All Michigan Children!
Your child…ALL CHILDREN… must be treated fairly and funded equally. We need your help to make sure that happens.
Governor Whitmer recently released her 2024 FY School Aid Budget, and once again she has picked winners and losers, calling for a 20 percent cut in funding for students who attend full-time online charter public schools.
It isn’t right and it isn’t fair.
Michigan’s full-time online charter public schools have changed countless lives for the better here in Michigan over the years. For many families throughout the state, these schools are a blessing, providing a fantastic—and often essential—alternative for families seeking out other educational options for their children.
And despite all the good they are doing, and the criterial role they play in the health, happiness and general well-being of thousands of Michigan students, Governor Whitmer believes they deserve less than the next student.
We need to tell our lawmakers this cannot stand.
Please, take a moment to ask your lawmakers to reject this proposal. They should be working to pass a budget that treats all children fairly and funds all children EQUALLY, and they need to hear that from YOU!
It only takes a minute to send an email to your lawmaker! Complete the form on this page to connect with your representatives today and let them know you expect your child—and all Michigan Children—to be funded equally!
