Make the “Gunshine '' state a permitless carry state!

There are 25 states that have passed permitless carry legislation, however, Florida is not among them yet.

HB 543 and SB 150 aim to make Florida a permitless concealed carry state, and while it does have some glaring problems, it is a major step in the right direction for Floridians.

Currently, HB 543 and SB 150 would remove the permitting requirements for concealed carry, allowing all those who would otherwise be able to carry to do so without receiving a permit or fulfilling any training requirements.

What these bills don't do is allow for open carry or for 18-20-year-olds to carry, which is a disappointing letdown, but one that could be fixed further down the line. Even without open carry and age adjustment, the elimination of the permitting and training requirements is a major step in the right direction.
