Oppose New York Tax Increase on Premium Cigars

A. 2172 , S. 3448, and S. 2425 have been introduced in the New York General Assembly and would dramatically increase the tax on premium cigars. Under the text of the bill, A. 2172 and S. 3448 would increase the rate of taxation from 75% to 95% and S. 2425 would increase to 129%.

This dramatic increase will negatively affect consumers and retailers alike in New York and must be stopped.
