Tell Them to Take Carjacking Seriously!

Tell the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission to assign carjacking a severe penalty.

The Minnesota Legislature recognized carjacking as a new form of robbery, but left it to the Sentencing Guideline Commission to assign the penalty.

Sadly, the Commission is considering treating carjacking just like an existing robbery, meaning most carjackers will avoid jail time.

Carjacking is a dangerous, traumatic event and it needs to be treated like the serious crime it is.

Tell the Sentencing Guidelines Commission to take carjacking seriously when they vote on Thursday, July 27.
