SB390 proposes to prohibit the expenditure of ANY funds--state, local, or private--on the American Library Association, the world's oldest and largest professional network for library workers.
Aside from state overreach into the pocketbooks of local counties and municipalities, SB390 would cut library staff off from grant funding and professional resources, and severely impact libraries' ability to attract and retain staff.
