200 liberal college professors from the University of Minnesota and around the country have signed a letter to University President Jeffrey Ettinger condemning him for pausing the hiring process at the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies (CHGS). 

The interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts recently announced the hiring of a New Jersey college professor who called Israel a “settler-colonial power” and actually accused Israel of genocide in the weeks after the October 7th massacre by Hamas terrorists.

Raz Segal is the wrong person at the wrong time to head up Minnesota’s Holocaust and Genocide Studies department. President Ettinger made the right decision to pause the hiring process and now a new search must be initiated.
